ANCIENT KAURI This writing instrument is constructed using wood from the tree Agathis australis and is commonly called Kauri or Ancient Kauri. This wood has an amazing history. This sample of wood is estimated to be between 30,000 and 50,000 years old. It would have grown for at least 1,200 years when it was alive and is by far the oldest workable timber. It has been buried in New Zealand for tens of thousands of years perfectly preserved. |
