Artist's Bio
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Christopher Higdon has always had an appreciation for the arts. His father, an accomplished woodworker, and his mother, an accomplished painter, raised Christopher to explore his interest in the arts. After obtaining a degree in Landscape Architecture and working in landscape design, Christopher further developed his comfort with designing and working with natural materials.

Over the years, wood became Christopher's media of choice and woodturning became his favorite way to exhibit the wood. Christopher's first introduction to woodturning was in turning bowls and hollow form vessels. His love of extremely rare and highly figured wood led him to pen making, giving him greater opportunity to focus only on the best wood in the world. Higdon Writing Instruments was born out of this focus.
Christopher resides in Marietta, Georgia, where he lives with his wife, Taylor, and daughter, Evelyn.
